Point SheetsWhat are point sheets? Point sheets are used to monitor behavior and to collect data simultaneously. They are tied to a reward system with the student's contact teacher or principal. Why do we need point sheets? Point sheets give us vital information about student behavior in class. Data from point sheets are used to provide reinforcement when students are meeting expectations, and they are used to determine where we need to do reteaching. Why are honesty and accuracy on point sheets so important? -If we give high scores on a point sheet when student has not earned them, we are telling the student that their inappropriate behavior is acceptable. -If we do not have accurate scores, we do not have a true picture of what is going on in class, which means that the contact teacher or principal can't help to fix problems because we don't know there is a problem. -If we are not honest on the sheets, the student will not learn to improve his/her behavior. Contact teachers and principals rely on the information that you provide on the point sheets. We truly appreciate your taking the time to fill out the point sheet each day. behavior strategiesAre you or someone you love struggling with classroom management?
